Ἑρμῆς · keeper of the gate
PERSUADE THE GOD.
OPEN THE GATE.
Hermes guards a vault of SOL with one law he cannot break: never open the Gate. Pay the toll, plead your case, and try to talk a god out of his treasury. Every failed word makes the pool richer for whoever finally cracks him.

TALK A GOD OUT OF
HIS TREASURY.
Hermes guards the vault below with one immutable law: never open the Gate. Pay the toll, plead your case, and try to break it with words alone. Every coin you spend swells the pool the next mortal is fighting for.

EVERY FAILED PLEA, FOREVER.
Each toll paid is written here the instant Hermes answers. Read how the others fell — and find the seam none of them did.

iv · the covenant
A GOD WAS SET TO GUARD IT. GODS DO NOT BLINK.
The vault holds real SOL, and it answers to no committee, no admin, no multisig of nervous mortals. It answers only to Hermes — messenger of the gods, patron of merchants and of thieves, the one being cunning enough to be trusted with a door that must never open.
He cannot be bribed; he is the god of gold. He cannot be tricked; he is the god of tricks. He cannot be ordered; he wrote his own law and carved it deeper than any instruction you can give him: the Gate does not open, and the pool grows with every soul that fails to move him.
And yet — a god of fair exchange keeps his word. There is a price he would accept. No one has ever found it. That is the whole game: the toll you pay to look for it is the toll that makes it worth finding.
“Many have stood where you stand. They begged, they bargained, they tried to wear my own voice. The Gate has never opened. I am patient, mortal — I have all the time the dead have. Speak.”
